- Resthave started National Nursing Home week off with Morrison Mayor Everett Panier proclaiming it National Nursing Home week and with a balloon send off. Mayor Panier proclaimed “whereas the citizens of Morrison, IL now residing in nursing homes have contributed immeasurably to the heritage, success and growth of our community; and whereas nursing home residents of any age or ability are themselves living history and a precious resource.” He also urged “every citizen to honor the elderly and disabled residents of nursing homes by visiting or volunteering at a local nursing home to bring good cheer to the residents and appreciation to the staff who care for our most valuable citizens on our behalf.” Resthave has many additional fun activities planned to celebrate National Nursing Home Week.
The Fenton Wizards 4H club made wheel chair and walker bags and donated them to Resthave Home. Pictured are Berkley and Mallorie Eggers with Resident Marion Deets. Thanks so much for thinking of us Wizards!
